1.
Beastly 03:10
Down by the river and railroad cars Where the air is stale and old There sits a cage if twisted bars Whose beast it could not hold It seems the crowds have all gone home And returned to their lives Dreaming aware of reddened lust For which all meat strives Don't say a word if you understand Give a grunt to reply I've seen it on a roof downtown Silhouetted against the sky Tell me now when you look at me And I would not ask why Have you seen the hungry stare Or heard the feral cry
2.
Taken from the masses Willingly they go Their personal entrapments Less important then the show Keepers feeding on the set Bring them in to their new cage It doesn't matter who will win Only that the tempers rage The fans are getting restless Sitting in their sullen homes Distracted by a baby Or the ringing of the phone Caesar raised his mighty hand the host bears a smile then the doors are opened up And so begins the trial Black eyed mother slings a shot And the housewives give a cheer Her fat husband answers back To the booing and the jeers
3.
He moves in for the kill She's a dancing flame Many other men Too drunk too stand There is a cause It is this way Some old one's dressed And caked with paint The supple shapes And careful eyes While the weary Turn away You can never know How you look On the shelf Or exactly how You will be sold The cats will kill To see if they can The rats will run In search of food They move like they know Because they do It comes across As more than nude
4.
There is no mistake in our precious decay In our own weakness we find ourselves prey The safety of a bed to hide underneath Dreaming of a way to sharpen my teeth Highways are stretched and raised like a scar Feeding on insects that came from afar They do not know me for the disguise There is no language but the look in your eyes Traffic roars from inside the hive Feel the pulse and know we're alive
